Today, as we enter Zemene Tsige, the Season of Flowers, we honor the Holy Virgin Saint Mary’s Flight to Egypt, a sacred journey foretold by the prophets, revealing how God’s eternal plan unfolds with purpose, in exile.

Through scorching deserts and unknown lands, St. Mary became a living Ark of Divine Presence, carrying within her the Light of the World, Jesus Christ, the hope and salvation of all humanity. Her journey turned prophecy into reality. “Out of Egypt have I called my son.” Hosea 11:1

At Ancient Ethiopic, we see this season as a living echo of that divine journey, reminding us that God’s providence blossoms in every chapter of life.
